Students will observe/investigate the movement of water through the different stages of the water cycle and determine what drives the water cycle. The concept is examined in some detail and each part of the processes, including evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, surface runoff, groundwater, and absorption, is discussed. Students will discover how changes in heat energy occur throughout the cycle. The culminating activity requires students to create a technology-based presentation (comic strip or story) using Story Jumper or TooDoo explaining their understanding of the Water Cycle. This lesson incorporates several different methods of differentiation in order to meet different learning needs of the students.
